oneworld steps up its partnership with ACTE

2016年10月27日

oneworld®, the leading global airline alliance, is stepping up its partnership with the Association of Global Travel Executives (ACTE), the body for professional corporate travel managers and travel service providers worldwide, by becoming its first exclusive top-level Global Access Partner from the airline industry.

The increase in oneworld’s support for ACTE was announced on the opening day of the association’s international travel summit, in Amsterdam, today.

ACTE has members in more than 100 countries, representing 12 million business travellers around the world.  Its mission is to create meaningful dialogue through education, advocacy and research for the global corporate travel community.

For the past two years, oneworld has supported ACTE as a second-tier Chairman’s Circle partner.  Now, as one of ACTE’s three top-level Global Access Partners, each drawn from different sectors of the travel industry, oneworld and its stable of market-leading airlines from around the world will work more closely with the association in wider areas of its activities.

This will also see oneworld prominently featuring in ACTE’s three biggest global conferences in 2017, all of which take place in key oneworld hubs:

  • New York, 23-25 April.
  • Tokyo, 15-16 August.
  • London, in the autumn.

oneworld Director of Sales José María Alvarado said: “oneworld aims to be the first choice airline alliance for frequent international business travellers – who are just the people that ACTE is in business to represent.  So oneworld is honoured and delighted to be building on the successful partnership we have developed with ACTE to become its first top-level Global Access Partner from the airline industry.”

ACTE’s Executive Director Greeley Koch added: “This is the perfect event and setting to make this announcement  Never before have so many top business travel managers and airline industry heads come together under one roof.  It is fitting that ACTE and oneworld have started working together, here, at the highest level, to drive change, innovation, and progress on a global scale. These additional resources guarantee an especially energized and ambitious program from ACTE in 2017.  I welcome oneworld to ACTE’s global sphere of influence.”
